Steganography: the art or practice of concealing a message, image, or file within another message, image, or file
The fragility of life is so often taken for granted. It escapes us all before we are ready to accept that fact. The work I create highlights two views to an individual. This tool is used to emphasize the passing of our lives. How we feel when we look back on them. Parts of the faces are missing, omitted, in my perception that it symbolizes the pieces of ourselves that we leave on this world. I believe that is the goal of human beings in life. The memories we leave behind for others and the memories we create that influence who we are. The emphasis of layers is the subject looking back on their life and how an individual’s actions reflect who they are and what they aspire to be. Every action we take in this life not only reflects us but the ones who are with us in our lives; the implicit nature of our lives, the paths that we leave for others. My work is a visual representation of how the decisions we make in this world affect us and foreshadow who we end up becoming.
